Simple mom review

One of the simplest ways to help the environment is to use products from companies that are environmentally conscience.

We have used EconoGreen bags for our gardening projects and their drop cloths during our recent home improvement projects. With both products we have been pleased with the quality and they done their jobs well:) And since they are priced the same as other brands... we'd be glad to purchase these products for future projects knowing that we can help the environment with our eco-friendly purchases without busting the budget!

April 7th, 2010 EconoGreen Drop Cloth
Leafy Green

EconoGreen drop cloths are made from 100% recycled plastic, are oxodegradable and recyclable which makes them ideal for tasks where a drop cloth is needed.  Unfortunately at $2.99 each the drop cloth is much more expensive then standard plastic ones from a hardware store.  The cloth is very sturdy.  During a painting job it did not break or tear at all.

Jig-A-Loo recently announced their new line of bio-degradable plastic bags being sold through Home Depot called Econo-Green.

This new line of bio-degradable plastic bags offers a great combination for environmentally friendly & budget conscious consumers. These bags are high quality, tough bags that are able to degrade when exposed to oxygen. On top of that, their bags are made from 100% recyclable plastic.

Live Green Mom

I knew that once my stash of garbage bags from the price club ran out,  Live Green Mom would need to start exploring the world of eco-friendly garbage bags. I have not heard the most positive comments on the subject!  The biggest complaint: they fall apart easily. No one wants to clean up after an exploding garbage bag.

The Chic Ecologist

Does such a thing even exist? Personally, I just use a trashcan without a liner and just rinse it out when it gets funky rather than add more trash to the landfill, but this doesn’t work for everybody.

February 17th, 2010 Eco-friendly trashbags?
Be Green Minded

For the longest time, we attempted to re-use plastic bags from stores as trash can liners — our version of recycling. Those bags didn’t fit in most of our garbage cans, and usually fell or broke, creating a mess.
